Western Gold Theatre’s popular Studio Series of staged readings presents Jack of Diamonds, a tale of revenge as exacted by a group of bilked seniors, cleverly crafted by Marcia Kash and Douglas E. Smith!

Jack of Diamonds follows a group of four madcap residents of an upscale, luxurious, privately-owned retirement home who are under the all-seeing eye of mean Nurse Harper. Their lives are thrown into high gear when they discover that they are the victims of a Ponzi scheme, and have lost their retirement funds to Barney Effward. As they contemplate being moved out of their “home”, and into a state-run facility, the fun begins when they discover that the conman who has bilked them is suddenly transferred into their midst. A scheme is hatched to make all their money back, and then some. But first, like a band of super heroes, they have to apply every one of their special skills to get past Nurse Harper, the cops and Barney’s equally shady lawyer, Mortimer. Pandemonium ensues as they try to find a way to exact their revenge, recoup their losses, and keep the authorities from discovering their plans. It's all about diamonds! and who gets them.
